period.lk exists because period care in Sri Lanka should be comfortable, affordable and free of shame — and for too long it hasn’t been.
Why we started
Period products here have been treated as a luxury rather than a necessity — taxed, marked up, and quietly tucked behind the counter in a brown paper bag. Meanwhile the options barely changed for decades: the same disposable pads, the same monthly cost, the same waste.
We started period.lk to offer something better: reusable period panties and thoughtful period care that are genuinely comfortable, work out cheaper over time, and arrive at your door without a single awkward moment.
What we believe
- Periods are normal. Not dirty, not shameful, not something to whisper about. Our writing and our packaging both reflect that.
- Comfort is not a luxury. Protection you forget you’re wearing changes how a period feels.
- Reusable is better — for most people, most of the time. Better for your budget over a year, and far better for the island’s growing waste problem.
- Privacy matters. Plain packaging, always. Cash on delivery, so no card and no trail.
- Honesty over hype. We tell you when disposables are the better choice, and we never use fear to sell.
What we sell
Reusable period panties in a range of absorbencies and styles, menstrual cups and discs, period swimwear, everyday lingerie and activewear — chosen for comfort in Sri Lanka’s heat and humidity.
How we deliver
Island-wide, in 0–4 business days, in plain unmarked packaging, with cash on delivery available everywhere and free delivery over LKR 7,500.
Learning, not just selling
A good part of what we do is education. Our journal covers everything from choosing period panties to menstrual health basics — written plainly, without fear-based marketing, and with the clear reminder that we’re not doctors.
